I'm fighting with EVERYONE...

I don't know if it's the baby, or if I'm just that tired of shinanigans. I'm fighting with just about everyone in my life. My best friend and I have been in and out for the past month or so, I've BEEN fighting with my quasi-beau for the length of my pregnancy (6 1/2 months), and lately, I've been really really flipping out on my oldest daughter. She's 16 and really feeling like she's grown and entitled.

Again, I feel like it's my fault. I've spoiled her to no avail. She has chores that are her responsibility, but she never does them, and I don't say anything until I'm totally pissed off, then it becomes flipping out because she's huffing and puffing, and rolling her eyes, and slouching her shoulders, and stomping her feet. WTH!?!? When I was her age, I knew what I had to do. I got up and did it. No, I wasn't perfect, but dammit, I was nowhere near her.

Is 16 too late to put my foot down? It's all of the extras that drive me over the edge though. The huffing and what not. I can't take it, it makes me so angry. But then, she wants to know why I've changed, why I'm always angry, why I'm always cursing and yelling..really??

Do we as parents create selfish children?

So over the weekend, my daughter did something that threw me for a loop and made me flip my lid. Looking back, it probably wasn't that big of a deal, even in the moment, I felt like I was having an out of body experience...I just HATE that she gets so selfish with her little sister at times. She's 15 and her sister is 3!! I guess a part of it is that she was an only child for 12 years, but she's got lots of cousins and she's NEVER been selfish with them. Then again...it wasn't every day. There's an argument for everything.

My question though, did I do this? Did I give her too much?? Have I enabled her?? I definitely didn't want her to have the life I had. Though it wasn't the worst, it was definitely not the best. I never wanted her to want for anything, and I didn't want her cleaning all the time...now, I can't get her to do anything almost without a huff and a puff and feet stomping, eye rolling...WTH...It pisses me off, but also makes me sad at the same time. I've taken her to shelters during the holidays to serve food, so that she knows this is not the life she HAS to have...Again, we are not the Jones', but maybe we're the Smiths...lol. She just seem so ungrateful...and the selfishness toward her sister even??! Oh, that burns me up!!!

Can't sleep again...

So, it's 4am, my baby (the lil one) is with her dad, and once again, I can't sleep. I do have quite a bit on my mind, but you'd think that the pregnancy and a full day of running around would do it. Sheesh...

My big girl and I went down to a flea market yesterday morning at 6am to try and get some cash for junk...lol...we had an ok morning. We only made about $60, but it was enough to spend the day together, laugh at folks (cause ain't nuthin like flea market shoppers), get some ice cream...and zone out!! I realize that my baby (the big one) is super super sensitive, and very much like her mother at this age. She was saying 'good morning' to everyone that stopped by our table or glanced over at her. She was majorly offended when some didn't respond. To the point that she actually shed a tear or two at how rude and nasty some people are. My sweet baby. You know momma bear was ready to fight everyone, right? LOL...we talked about it, and I explained to her that her good morning should be about her and how she feels. Some people are just miserable and that's that. Some people are not used to people being nice, or speaking to them for that matter. There's nothing you can do about it. F em!!! Keep your happy face on and say good morning. If they respond, great, if they don't, silently laugh to yourself at their outfit. LOL!

So...that's my thought for the day...be nice to someone, but if they're not nice back, laugh at their outfit!

Nothing to do with fashion or makeup...

What the hell is wrong with teenagers these days? I came home yesterday to find that my 14 year old had pearced her fuquing lip. Yes, that's right...she did it herself...took a huge pin, a craft pin, not even a straight pin, and stuck it right through her face. I didn't know if I should strangle her or punch her in the face. Thankfully, I did neither. I just don't understand. I give her a good home, values, don't let her run the streets...which was a part of her rant about why she should be able to make her own mistatkes...WTF??

I NEVER would have done something like this. My grandmother would have KILLED me. Hell, I was even scared to write on my jeans...I don't know what the deal is these days. I'm just afraid that if this is 14, what in the holy hell is 16 going to look like...
