Nothing to do with fashion or makeup...

What the hell is wrong with teenagers these days? I came home yesterday to find that my 14 year old had pearced her fuquing lip. Yes, that's right...she did it herself...took a huge pin, a craft pin, not even a straight pin, and stuck it right through her face. I didn't know if I should strangle her or punch her in the face. Thankfully, I did neither. I just don't understand. I give her a good home, values, don't let her run the streets...which was a part of her rant about why she should be able to make her own mistatkes...WTF??

I NEVER would have done something like this. My grandmother would have KILLED me. Hell, I was even scared to write on my jeans...I don't know what the deal is these days. I'm just afraid that if this is 14, what in the holy hell is 16 going to look like...

Soooo busy!!!

Hey there!! I've been so busy with our beauty blog, Jolies Dames, and my YouTube account, ajannasmom, that I've been a bit bogged down...nevertheless, here I am now.

So...what's on my mind today??? 35. That's how old I'll be on Wednesday. I feel good about it. I like to believe that I don't look my age...I'm trying to get my body back on track...have been going to Curves for the last two months religiously...I maintain my sexy dang it!! LOL...I've been more concentrating on my life moving forward. I'm in a relationship with a tall, sexy, hansome man that can put it down (tmi?? lol). I have two beautiful girls...a house...a career (that I loathe)...but I feel like something's missing.

My ex used to tell me that I was never satisfied...to slow down and smell the damned roses that were in my front yard. I always felt like if I stopped, that I would miss something. My mom told me that as a child, I never wanted to go to sleep...lol....'I'll go lie down, but I'm not going to sleep...'...lol imagine...fresh azz!! That's what's wrong with my kids now...they like they mama!! LOL...

My job is at a large telecommunications company, and they snatched my pension about 3 years ago, just before I found out that I was pregnant with my little one. So I'm like, what now? I'm working, but just to pay the bills and put a little away. I need something serious. Something that I can fall back on when I retire. I don't want to live in my kids' basement...I need a plan. I'm tired of the get rich quick schemes on-line...'YOU CAN BE MAKING $50000 A NIGHT WHILE YOU SLEEP...' Really? Kiss my azz.

I need something that's real, tangible. I've been tossing a boutique idea back and forth for about two years...that is my ultimate goal, but finding the $100K seed capital is what's holding me back, that and the fear of failure. I have a mortgage and two kids under 18!!

I found a second idea that's only $5500 to start, and it involves one of my loves...makeup and beauty...that is what I'm focusing on now...look for some updates on my ebay site...I gotta make some cash quick!!

Ok, so that's about it for now...I need a nap before the pre-birthday celebrations begin tonight. My girls are taking me to dinner...yay!!!

Well...they revamped their website...adding lots more $1 items...that's right....$1 items....and minerals too!!! They've even got a program where you can upload your picture and do a makover on yourself with their products and some new hair!!! I was up for like 3 hours creating a new me...lol...too cute.

Why didn't I think of that?!?!? So, you log on, input your vitals...and they show you fashions, you choose which designers you like, which celebs' fashion sense you like, which shoes you like from a large list, which colors you like...and BAM!!! Your profile is created.



Shipping is free for returns, you only pay $5.99 processing if you don't want to replace your shoe, and chose to have a credit issued to you for that month. Also, if you don't like the 5 shoe options that are sent, you can select 'skip this month'. You will still be charged the $39, but will have a shoe credit...so that if next month you like two shoes, you can order two.

I've been a member since February, and all I can say is I can't WAIT for the new month to go online and choose which of the 5 little diddys (that have been personally selected for me by stylists based upon my preferences) that I'm going to choose.

The only downfalls for me is that 1. EVERYTHING is not yet automated. You can't change your preferences once they're set, you have to call...but customer service is phenomenal. I spoke with Richard this morning and he was a dream!!! 2. They only have the option of sizes 6-10...and I sometimes need an 11 for the width (But Richard says that will be coming soon).

Soo...let me set this all up

I'm a 34 year old mom of two gorgeous girls 14 and 2. I currently work as a Project Manager full time at a large telecommunciations firm, and have been her for the last 14 years. I live in Central NJ, yes, Jersey Girl for life...with my girls and my husbeau (not quite a husband, but more than a boyfriend/beau). I have noooo idea what I wanna be when I grow up. There are some things that I've tried and am aspiring toward...

Project Manager (this is my current full time job booo...but it pays the bills well)
Century 21 real estate sales person (this is my part time job...)
Radio Personality (my first love...I should'a gone to college...go to college kids!!)
Boutique Owner (still in the works, and will happen within the next two years so help me God)
Make-up Artist (in the process of obtaining my license and workin' on folk who need it)
Make-up Kiosk partner (this is in the process too, by August is our goal)

So...again, I'm all over the place. I started going to Curves 3 times a week over the last 6-8 weeks, and I've lost 10lbs...yay!!! I just need to do it about mmmm....4 more times...lol
